What affects custom patch pricing?
A useful quotation starts with a consistent specification. Compare the same dimensions, construction, backing and packing at each quantity rather than comparing headline prices for different patches.
Quantity per Design
Artwork preparation and production setup are shared across an order, so unit pricing may change with quantity. Splitting an order into several artworks or sizes can change that calculation. Ask for the actual quantities you are considering, with a breakdown for each version.
Dimensions, Coverage and Complexity
Finished area, stitch coverage, detailed outlines and construction affect material use and production work. A partially embroidered patch and a fully covered design are different specifications, even if the outer dimensions match. For chenille, compare felt layers, yarn areas and additional embroidery.
Backing and Packing
Specify plain sew-on, heat-seal, hook-and-loop or another agreed attachment option. Explain whether backing components must be supplied together. Loose bulk packing, sets and individual retail packs have different requirements, so include the packing brief when requesting a quote.
Sampling and Artwork Changes
Ask what proofing, sampling or setup work is included and what is charged separately. Confirm the approval process and how a change after approval would affect the price and schedule. Do not assume a sample, test or revision is free unless it is included in the quotation.
Shipping and Delivery Scope
Compare product pricing separately from freight and confirm exactly what the shipping quote includes. Give the destination and deadline. Any import charges or delivery terms should be clarified with the supplier and carrier for the specific shipment.
A Brief You Can Send
Include: product type; artwork or reference; finished width and height with units; quantity per design; backing; garment or end use; packing; destination; and required arrival date. If you have a target budget, explain whether it covers patches only or also packing and delivery.

Questions about custom patch pricing
Can you give a unit price without artwork?
An initial estimate may be possible from a clear brief, but a production quotation needs the agreed design, dimensions, backing and quantity. Confirm what assumptions an estimate uses.
Is a larger order always cheaper per patch?
Higher quantities can spread preparation costs, but changes in artwork, packing or construction also affect pricing. Request quantity options against one specification.
Which information should I send if I do not know the backing?
Describe the garment fabric, where the patch will be placed and how it will be used. Share a reference image by email so suitable options can be discussed before quoting.
Send your artwork for a custom patch quote.
Share your idea, sketch or finished logo. We will help choose the right patch type, size and backing for your project.
